STAIND Frontman Performs 'Believe' Acoustically; Video Available

October 1, 2008

The French office of Roadrunner Records recently filmed STAIND vocalist Aaron Lewis performing an acoustic version of the band's latest single, "Believe". Watch the footage below.

Lewis has announced that he'll play a handful of solo dates in January and February, according to The Pulse of Radio. Lewis traditionally heads out for some solo acoustic gigs shortly after the New Year. He's also been on the road with STAIND this fall, promoting the band's new "The Illusion of Progress" record, but told The Pulse of Radio that he has no problems balancing the two. "It's something I've wanted to do always," he said. "Before I ever started in this band, the acoustic thing is what I did. That's what my dad did when I was a kid, and it's something I've always wanted to do. If it can co-exist with STAIND, then I'll really kind of be having my cake and eating it too."

"The Illusion of Progress" debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart in August, selling 92,000 copies in its first week of release.

That snapped the band's streak of three straight No. 1 debuts, which started with 2001's "Break The Cycle" and ended in 2005 with "Chapter V".

STAIND will kick off a new U.S. tour on Friday (October 3) in Verona, New York, with the band being joined on most of the dates by SEETHER and PAPA ROACH.
